  • Cue relatively the chin

Where do you place the cue relatively to your chin, when you prepare to a shot?
I feel comfortable to play with the cue sliding under my chin, like Dott. Although, I heard once that it's better to play with the cue aside of the chin, exactly under the dominant eye. I've tried to replace the cue to the right side of my chin and found out that it's difficult to change the habit.

If its not broke then dont fix it !
What i mean is..if playing with the cue under your chin and you are playing well then why would you want to change ?
Not played for 3 years and itching for a game....11-3-2017.

If you are right eye dominant try turning your head to the left will place that cue under your right eye (and chin) without having to changing anything else.

I lay with the cue under my chin, I find it easier to bring it back the take the shot. The only thing is if it catches your chin on the way through then the shot will go wrong.

I don't want to change. I just tried for the experience, but it's really awkward.

IMO, try to do what is most natural.

Where do you best see the line? Most likely the cue will favor your dominant eye.

Put your energy into focusing on the object ball as you come down on the line, and then, see where your chin hits the cue in relation. The cue should be on the line, and your eyes should come down on to it. Some take their nose or chin to the point of contact on the object ball in order to sync their eyes with their cue.
