Course he's joking! Nobody in their right mind would call Dave Harold's cue action a cue action. Which is why cazmac1 is wrong when he says the best cue action is the one that puts the balls in the pockets consistently. I know what you mean cazmac but who'd call Dave Harolds cue action the 29th best in the world? That's where he's ranked. He's undoubtedly a great snooker player, but I'd rather watch my playing partners cue action any day of the week!

Ronnie and John Higgins are the two best and also easiest on the eye imo.
I often use large words I don't really understand in an attempt to appear more photosynthesis.

Alex Higgins? Never mind keeping his head on the cue, he often used to jump long before he had hit the cueball. He was a fantastic player, but never had the best action by a long chalk. Sometimes, he was all over the place and we often wondered how he used to do it. He did all the things that most of us were told not to do!

That made me laugh, golferson123. I remember something similar at a club where I played. One of the lads that was playing, gave one such a crack, it jumped off the table, in an upstairs club. over a shops glass canopy, over the main shopping road and down a side street with a little downward incline and the ball did not break. He was off like a hare down the stairs and over the road with all the club members laughing at him and it was raining .......... Those were the days. --- by the way, I am still laughing!

jimmy white's is great and one of the best. marco fu's cue action is not very good - his cue acceleration and power are low, thats why he needed to compensate with a big backswing - something which terry griffiths changed by making two marks on his cue to make him practice shortening his backswing - after becoming his coach.
apparently its all gone wrong again for him though.

I also think Marco Fu's cue action is really good for some reason its proper smooth.

              What about Ding Junhui?
Although I'm not a fan of him, I think his cue action (like his complete technique) is excellent.

I really likes john higgins and mark selby's cue action.

John Higgins cueing seems to be very solid to me. While Mark's cueing though its very shaky at times, but its easy to model. I always try to model these two player's cueing in my game. =D

For me I'd say Shaun Murphy or Neil Robertson . There's also something about Ali Carter's cue action that I envy.

Everyone bangs on about Shaun Murphy’s. Cue action I can’t stand his action, it just so false and over contrived just like the man himself.

Mine would be Murphy and Higgins for cue action.
I love the way Ronnie had confidence in his angle judgement in potting balls at fast speed and his break building is incredible. :snooker:

                            1.) Shaun Murphy (Over contrived ? Really ? :O)
                            2.) Ding Junhui.

Who would have a very good cue action, if they did not try and make it a good one (contrived)? If we want to improve, then we all contrive to do it.

neil robertson's cue action is without a doubt the best in the professional game at the moment.
