Can someone explain why Frame 1 is awarded to Robertson in this match? I know that after he pots the red, he's up by 52 with 50 on the table, but Davis is now up to the table and could easily lay at least one snooker and make up the disadvantage. Did Steve concede this frame, presumably? I wonder why he wouldn't fight it out?

there's only 43 available (2 reds) to Steve, so he needed a minimum 9 points ie 3 snookers ... and yes, he conceded the frame ...

Actually Robertson is 52 up with 43 on the table.
I think Davis had lost his 'vibe' in that frame and wanted to get into a full frame to get his arm going and his eye in.
In the 80's Davis would have fought to the last but his game has changed.
