Welcome mate . I,m afraid youre not going to get anything half decent for that amound unless your very fortunate on ebay . If i were you i would save up around £ 100 -£130 and then decide . Ther,es usually a few good cues knocking about on this forum , i think one or two may have some for sale now .

Have you any idea what weight , tip size etc suit you , if not if possible i would recommend trying a range of cues out and see what feels comfortable for you . Try and find out what specs you want before you buy .

your right i have no idea on weight or size

i have been told the ronnie o'sullivan bce cues are good
also like the look of these two cue's 150426805926 & 150427831939 "im so vain"

i would love to save up and get a better cue but i cant stand using the free ones they offer at the halls, cause im never sure what im going to get and takes me a few shots to get used to different cues, and they not in the best of states most the time....

You probably need to post some more details of what you're after. Are you currently playing with one of your club rack cues? If so I assume it is a one piece. Do you want to stick with a one piece or move to the more modern 3/4?
You won't get much for £30 TBH if your looking to buy new. Buying second hand from, say e-bay, can be a bit hit and miss. Always better to "try before you buy". Perhaps you could ask around your club to see if anyone is selling a cue. This would save on postage and you would get more cue for your money!
Don't forget you'll really need to budget for a cue case as well to protect your cue. You could probably pick one up very cheap on e-bay. Doesn't matter if it has a few scuffs or what it looks like so long as it protects your cue.
So post some details of what you want and Forum members will only be too happy too help.
If you don't really know what you want then say so and likewise people will help. There's loads of info around on selecting the right cue.

I also Agree with Hotpot, Save alittle more and get Alot Better Quality Cue.

As the Cues you Buy from Sports Shops etc for £29.99 etc aren't worth £4.99.

Contact ADR147 on this Forum, He may be able to help you with something.

i am going to need a 3/4 due to space...
i couldnt find a local snooker hall (farnham common, near slough) so i only go when i visit my brotherinlaw in Luton and we go to rileys, and its normally off peek so very empty... so never really get to ask anyone

Those two e-bay cues you mention in your post are not good quality. There's lots of them for sale on e-bay and I think they usually go for around £50. If you're just looking for something that looks nice then one of them might do. You'll get a case and extensions. Personally wouldn't touch them with a bargepole.

To be honest mate i woul, dnt buy either of those cues . You will probably regret buying a cheap cue and in no time will want to upgrade to something decent ,especially if you play quite regular .

If you have no idea what weight etc to go for and cant try anything out then i would go for something around 18 oz with a 9.5-10 mm tip , 57-58 " standard length .

Craftsman , mastercraft , mastercue , omin , ut , are the cheaper range of good quality cues , by that i dont mean they are substandard , they are excellent cues that are reasonably priced and all highly recommended by members here who own them .

Ive never used a cuecraft so cant comment mate . Personally you wont go far wrong with the ones quoted .

You missed a good cue on ebay yesterday that went for £56 , it was a welsh pool cue made by Bitter who is a member here but no longer makes cues . There are still a few of these cues knocking about on ebay and they are good cues .

Cue Craft would be OK for the money you're talking about. There's a chap on this Forum who goes by the name of snookerpoolman. Worth contacting him to see what he can offer you. Have a look at the CraftsmanCues website for budget cues. There's a two piece centre jointed with case for £42. Better option IMO would be to move up to Victor at £65 (3/4 but no case!). I'd better stop now or you'll get all confused with the choices available!!

hotpot I was tempted to bid on that cue. Probably would have pushed the price up a bit. Good value for the buyer.
