Which professional snooker player gives you the best impression of goodsportsmanship?
For me good sportsmanship is,nt just about how you conduct yourself on the circuit , it,s also how gracious you are in defeat no matter what the circumstances .
The players who stand out for me in that category are Mark Williams , Jimmy White , Matthew Stevens , Ken Doherty Mark Selby and a few others .
yes ronnie is no1 for being the most unsportsman . A sore loser, arrogant, pig headed, and many more besides the above mentioned characterists he has , he is just a good talent and nothing more . Sorry to all the ronnie fans on this forum.
I can see the table, but lost my ....ive lost my balls
Some have mentioned Steve Davis here,I like Steve as an analyst and he's obviously one of the goats but there was something possibly relating to dubious sportsmanship in his World Championship 1st round match v Graham Dott in 2000.
Dott said afterwards that Davis used deliberate spoiling/delaying tactics by going to the bog after every frame and he'd never seen it before.
Not saying Dott was right or not.I know Ding did the same thing a while back somewhere but didnt hear anyone complaining, apart from Shaun Murphy?
I'm quite amazed at how little Jimmy White is being mentioned in this category. Maybe the fact that he's rarely appeared in the latter stages of events in recent years has someting to do with this.
I think Steve Davis, Peter Ebdon and John Higgins have always been sportsmanlike, Mark Williams loses out for the raps on the table, but Jimmy, for me, surpasses all of them. Always gracious in defeat, gives credit when it's due, smiles and offers congratulations when he shakes the hand of his opponent, and hardly ever, if at all, blames anything or anyone for his shortcomings.
I often use large words I don't really understand in an attempt to appear more photosynthesis.

nah surely not. Steve's a stand up bloke! he probably had a weak bladder that day or something!
AS for Higgins- now you are having a laugh! Robertson too, i think it was in the Welsh this year, Ronnie in 2nd gear gubbed him and he just couldnt take it. His post match interview showed this.
As for Hendry, where do you start, hmmmmm maybe some of his comments about Mark Jonston-Allen after Mark had beaten him for a 3rd time!

Higgins was far from gracious afetr his semi defeat to Williams in the world semis 2000 i think it was .
He even refused to come out for the post match interview .
Agree with you about Jimmy , he, had more setbacks than anyone in the history of the game but nevev showed it once . Doherty is another .
Cant understand how you exclude Williams for his raps on the table but include Ebdon after all his outbursts .
