ive been playing uk 8 ball pool since i was 14 im 22 now so 8 year and ive been playing snooker about 10 or 11 weeks as my local snooker team asked me to play when they were short (bar that i used 2 play a frame or 2 every few months lol) my highest break is 56 in match play but i dont push the boat out i pot whats available and if its risky ie leaving ez balls i will play a safety as long potting is the strongest part of my game so i create chances ez i find it ez to stun a red 10 foot away to leave an easy black etc :P

long story short i play snooker to make sure im cueing str8 and to break up pool practice as ive took a series of long breaks over the past 3 years after getting bored :snooker:
      tha what!

Playing with side/spin in my opinion no one/coach can teach you it is just something you learn through practise and by playing the game..also by playing with the same cue then you will learn how it throws and therefore how much throw on the white you will need to allow when playing with side/spin..especially over the full length of the table when it will be more difficult to allow for your side/spin...

        hope this helps..

        good luck !

Agree....you can only learn it from practise. and every cue throws different, take o'sullivan's new cue at 2009 masters for example, everytime he tried to put left hand side on cue ball, he constantly hitting the object ball thinner than he intended.....imo, that's why many pros only use 1 cue in their entire careers.
