  • Liang's cue action

I loved watching his match against Ronnie, but i notice he seems struggling in aligning his albow with the shot, is there something wrong with his technique, or is it a deliberate alignment technique? It looks very uncomfortable to do that on every shot

It may or may not be a technique, but in my opinion i think that its a style that Liang is use to. Simple example of this is that not everybody cues exactly the same, yes the essential of getting on a shot correctly mattar but feeling comfortable and to be able to adjust from that may also mattar more. This just shows that Liang is comfortable with his cue action, and this is perfectly fine.

    Regards,
    Thien

i noticed that tooo yesterday, he almost seemed edgy on the shot, and had to adjust himself quite a lot to be comfortable

It's an alignement thing, though he doesn't move the cue that much when he does it. I'm betting it's a left over tick from when he was still developing as a player. He probably had his hand too far out as a kid.

I don't think it really matters how everyone cues, after all everyone does it differently and some obviously work better than others.

Yes, the overall feeling when watching him is he looks uncomfortable with his action.

I think it's his bad habbit really. Do not like his playing style. He is far too tense.

It looks to me that he is trying to relax his shoulder joint, people like Hendry also relax his shoulder when playing with rest.
