The first order I got about a year ago I had one de-laminate and pqj sent me a replacement right away. He stands behind everything he sells and I'm really happy with the 3 cues I've bought from him.

Now my problem is do I use the 1-piece or the very fine 3/4-butt I just purchased. Time will tell I guess.

The new 3/4 cues has a Kumai Soft on it and I like that too. It's a little harder than an ELk Master Hard.

Terry im in a similar dilema to you . I have two cues that i really like , my Aurora and a GBL . Also like both talismans ans kamui,s , i,ve got another four cues coming and i,m not buying no more after that . Saying that i,ve always fancied a robin cook .

Yes Airin is a top bloke indeed and i would recommend his cues , they are as good as they get imo .

      hotpot:

Well now I'm really stuck. I've used a 1-piece Aurora for the past 6 months and really like it but here in Canada most clubs don't have X-head rests nor good long tackle and I don't have a 1-piece case which will carry all of that.

So I bought a good 3/4-butt cue from Airin as I have a large 3/4-butt cue case which will take the cue, 2-piece rest plus a good slip on extension I use for the rest (I have to put the rest head in my pocket though I will cut out some more foam this season to make the head fit too).

The problem is I still like the 1-piece and can't seem to get on well with the 3/4-butt even though it's a quality cue.

In looking for this 'ideal' 3/4-butt cue I've bought about 8 cues including 2 Trevor White, an O'min, the Aurora, an Acuerate, 2 UT cues, an ADR147, a Dan Shelton plus a couple of B&Ws and from all the tests I've tried so far it looks like the O'Min is giving me the best results.

I'm going to try putting a harder tip on the Aurora as that might make a different (right now it has a Kumai Soft, but I had to re-shape it as it compressed and squared off a bit). I'll try either a Talisman, Pro Granite or one of the REALLY hard O'min tips which is the tip presently on the O'Min 3/4-butt.

Now I have to try and sell all these other cues once I pick a winner. Oh, I do like both the Trevor White cues too although they are both a little under 18oz and a little light for me

      Cheers,
      Terry

Dont think you,ll have trouble selling them Terry , i think you may have to wait until next month as the forum will get busier then .

Very quiet at the moment and noticed that there is not a lot selling . Have you thought about having a larger case made . I notice on ebay theres a wide case that will take three cues , will they be any good to you .

Well guys, I have been playing with a Pro Granite tip for 5 days now. Gotta say, no bedding in period, takes chalk easily...and holds it!, grips the ball well and feels like a tip should feel. The tip feels softer than a Talisman(S), and quite possibly is the best tip I have used in a long time. MW supertips are very good, but PG's are that little bit better...in my opinion.
Hope this has helped someone out there.

Yep..I like it. Knocked in a 92 clearance last night. Don't know whether it was the tip or the new glasses that I was wearing. Normally wear contacts, but had my first go at 'snooker' glasses.
Time will tell I guess. lol

not surprised, pretty much the best tip i have used on a cue definitely lasted the longest by a long shot!!! usually a BD would last me two months or so before it needs replacing (i am very picky about the actual shape of a tip on my cue and the BD's seem to compress on the tip more an go out ofshape too quick so my file is out most games.... with the PG's it just gets a quick rough up once in a while to loosen old chalk off the surface)
