Table history

I've just acquired an E J Riley snooker table. The previous owner said I could find the history of the table through the serial no stamped on the legs. apparently it's had some note worthy matches played on it. I had a nose around the internet through Google but with no joy. Does anyone have any hints on how to track the history of my table?

I cant remember who it is, but someone on here is a pure genius on this sort of thing, plus all the companies that ever produced and/or how they were amalgamated or disolved, something to do with large or ton plus in their usernames but I cant find either now...
