hes making my cue now and sometimes it takes a while for him to email back, you may need to send the email again to a get your response, but one thing is for sure hes always very busy.
I had been on the waiting list a few weeks shorter than I expected. Trevor showed me a picture of the cue before he sent it. I noticed from the picture he had carved a flat section out of the butt on what should have been a round butted cue. He gracefully apologized and gave me a choice, to either have the cue replaced straight away or have him send me this cue he made so i could at least see how this one felt, and then still have it swapped if I didn't like it. He told me he had another cue that could be finished to my specs if that was the case. I hate flat sections on my butts, but because this butt was substantially thicker than that of the cue I had previously used, I had Trevor send me the cue he made, so I could at least get a feel of it.
I ended up not liking it, the cue seemed great quality but I couldn't stand the butt, so I sent him an e-mail about it and received no response. That had happened before. Three weeks or so later, the cue having been sitting here in its case gathering dust, I decided to send it in without waiting for an email. I printed the e-mail I hadn't received a response to, and included it in the package. It contained a number of requests for specs improvements on the new cue Trevor would be making for me, based on my new experience. I also asked him to simply let me know if any of my requests seemed unreasonable (because I was asking a lot) and to let me know if it couldn't be done on the cue he had in mind for me.
I sent the cue in on july 27th (six weeks ago). In the package I also included a note asking Trevor to get back to me, I listed my phone number, mobile, email, the lot. I've not heard back from Trevor, so today I sent him another e-mail. I try to reach him by phone every now and then but have not been successful at reaching him that way. I've asked him to respond, letting me know the status and if not, that I will be asking for my money back.
Before Trevor started work on my cue (the first one), I also contacted another cue maker who told me that unfortunately he had to refuse new customers for the time being. I would have also had to pay more money for the same cue.
I'm sure Trevor is a very busy man, and he's a great cue maker and it's great that he wants to not refuse orders, and make cues for all of us. However for this kind of money, even though his prices are very reasonable, it's still a LOT of money for most people, I believe it's not fair to leave customers in a situation like this, perpetually not answering e-mail. Some people are more organized with managing large email workflows than others, but if workload is THAT high, Trevor would perhaps be better off not taking on as many new custom cue orders because a cue is such a personal thing that the communication between player and cue maker is very important in my opinion. And in my opinion, should be expected by a cue maker to take up a reasonable chunk of the time that it takes to make someone a cue, thus should be factored in with the price. I'm in no position to tell Trevor what to do (and I'm not trying to), this is just the way I look at it. That said, if you're planning on having Trevor make you a cue, you can expect it to be great.
I hope to be able to report back soon, to tell you that my new cue is fantastic.
I'm not playing snooker at the moment and haven't been for a while, because my old cue's joint is broken. Snooker is a dying sport in this country and as a result of that, I cannot find anyone locally, who is able to repair my old cue. This makes it even harder for me to wait for the new cue from Trevor.

Just to inform you, while I was busy writing the above post, an e-mail message from Trevor made its way to my inbox, addressing every single request for specs changes in a an excellent, clear, precise manner. Seems like he really tried to make the cue perfect for me, within physical limits of a good cue, also explaining those. Trevor states it should be sent out sometime this week, so I obviously I can't wait!

I had email from Trevor today with some pics of my new cues and he says they will be with me the by the end of the week. Also managed to have phone chat with him.
I think if I was in his position with all of us getting on to him about our cues, it would drive me up the wall! He is so busy with making cues.
