    Are you receiving physiotherapy?

If so, tell your physiotherapist. They are always keen to get people back living a normal life.

Yep...my wife is a physio and she is always able to get rid of my problems, although it usually takes a bit (a lot!) of work on my part.

Have you tried a wrist brace? They are available at most chemists and you can bind the wrist so it is locked straight. Who knows, you might play better.

There was a right-hander in Toronto who broke his right wrist and actually played better with the cast and then the light cast on the wrist as it locked it in place where previously he had a very loose wrist which moved on him

You normally get a bit of advice when you have the cast off ?

Its often the case that you will get some aches, dont force anything as it takes a while for things to get back to normal and you dont want to cause any other damage by rushing it.

Good exercise is slowly gripping and releasing one of those stress relief balls that you can get (find a cheap one on Ebay)

Another is to put a ball on a flat surface such as a snooker ball on the table, put your palm on top of the ball with a flat hand and gently rock the ball around, backwards, forwards and around in circles. with this you can change the angle of your wrist slightly increasing it slowly as you go.

Its important to listen to your body, dont be scared of using that hand to do every day things but when it aches it aches for a reason. After a while youll just know yourself that you can do more with it.

As always its a good idea to check with a doctor or physio to see what they feel is right for you.
