when you bite or rip the old one off in anger

that or when it loses its feel, goes out of shape, gets too thin etc....

usually change mine every few months though im fussy and mess about with a small file on mine a fair bit trying to get it right

You mean you made a 147 in 5 minutes.

That tip really did need a bit of a chew didn't it. Mind you, not that I'd do any better, that's prety close to my PB, and that was 20+ years ago.

i heard you could cause damage to the ferrule and tip end of your cue if the tip gets too thin... so got to be careful there.

I usually retip for two reasons , first when you can see that the tip needs replacing through wear n tear or a bad miscue ets and when you are not playing well and are searching for solutions as to what is going wrong , and then start altering things .

                          ditto,

although i bit the kamui one off and had only had that on there for 8 days or so...perhaps a new tip is the wrong solution? haha

depends really like i would play with my hard elk tip for a couple of months depending on how much i play and how retarded its shape goes. totally personal preference mixed with if your hitting metal on the ball

You must have money to burn you youngsters . £10 a tip and you bite it off after a week
Still trying to pot as many balls as i can !
