    Then that's a good standard.

Progress slows the better you get. Moving ahead now needs plenty of practice and good competition.

Hard work and determination will get you anywhere you want.

    Good luck.

            2 centuries at 9

            This kid is really improving.

2 centuries at 9 years of age and over 60 in a tournament, one to watch for the future.

Can't wait to see him at Pontins Junior Festival 2008.

I'd barely ever played at all before April, but I've been praticing 3 hours a week and getting coaching. I'm 14 and when I first started I couldn't cue properly and just missed pretty much everything. But about a month ago I've just exploded and I've made 3 breaks over 30 and nearly always make a break over 20 in a frame. What do you guys think?

Well done. Do you play in tournaments? Which part of the country are you from?

I'm from Leeds but I don't really play in tournaments. Maybe in a couple of months I'll start.

Don't put it off. Get stuck in.

Try the Northern Snooker Centre, if you're not there already. They will sort you out.

Yeah, that's where I play all my snooker. Ian Williamson is a great coach. I played in my first tournament last Saturady. Would have got to the final if I hadn't gone in off on the black.

Sounds good to me but it is all about your progression over the next couple of years and whether you plateau or continue to improve.

Keep playing, keep practicing and report back.

Well done on the 62 and practice centuries.

If you are making 50s after only eight months then, to put it mildly, you're doing OK.

Get yourself to Pontin's, Prestatyn, in February.

the simple answer is yes - get coaching over the next 12 - 18 months though - that was my mistake!
