Yes, just one league around Southampton.

I'm preparing a feature on a team at the moment who face an 81-mile round trip when they play the leaders in their division.

But that's half the fun of it. Except in winter.

Brighton and Hove is the league for our area with a good following and fair standard of 100 break and PTT players.

You can see all the details at

      www.brightonandhovesnooker.org/

Also Worthing League just along the road is well represented.

                  Hi Jaycho,

I play for Yardley 'x' Servicemans Club in division 4. We started a team in div 5 last year, got promoted and now 4th in division. Runners up in 2nd division of last years summer league as well.

I joined the stadium just over 12months ago, but only played a couple of times as i wasn't keen on the feel and atmosphere in there though.

One problem with social clubs though is that it is difficult to have a good practice session, in the evening, due to having to keep booking the table etc.

Thinking about joining Grenville club in solihull. Is the standard in division 1 high?

                  Regards

                      Hi Treefella!

the standard in div1 is quite high but thats only with the top 3 or 4 teams

the rest are all around the same.

my team has got promoted 2 years on the bounce but we had to join forces with the old stadium D team from div 4.
Grenvilles a nice club, got awesome tables along with the tyseley WMC

stadium is going down the pan big time

League snooker is a waste of time in my opinion. Those I have encountered that run leagues haven't got the first idea about how things should be done. Properly! It's played on slow, dirty knackered cloths. With 30 year old club balls, often with very poor lighting. On the odd occasion there will be a diamond in the rough, but rough it is. Not only this. They also have no idea how to draw the matches each week. Making it a totally random element. Rather than allowing the home team to select their visiting opponent. All things considered. My patience with the continued poor state these leagues are run is making me want to Jack it all in as there's nothing to keep or attract players.
                              Cheap and Cheerful! 😄
