hi there just wondered what the advantages and disadvantages are on these tips which one is better. i have a talisman tip at the moment but they seem to not hold their chalk well and i have to keep roughing it up.

I'd say instead of asking which one is "better", you should try both kind of tips and decide which one suits you more.
Some people are comfortable playing with laminated tips while some people are comfortable playing with pressed tips. Don't let anyone tell you which tip is the best, try and see for yourself.Comment
