  • Poll: Do you tap your middle fingers when playing?

On TV you see the players do it almost every shot. Some do it more than others. I personally almost never do it. Do you?

And it's supposed to be "fingers", not "finger" in the poll question. Can someone fix that, please?

      I occassionally do.

When I'm playing badly, I sometimes see if tapping my finger will make me get difficult shots, and the majoraty of the time it works.....

I'm a pretty superstitious player, but sometimes tapping my finger makes me a little more confident on getting the shot, so sometimes I get it

I don't, but I've heard some people say it helps them concentrate

It's got to do with relaxing the bridge hand. I don't do it consciously, it just sort of happens sometimes.

it shouldnt be encouraged googl. you whole body should be still with only your right arm moving from the elbow.

It's only a little tap of the finger snookerloopy, I would'nt class it as movement of the body, and don't see any harm in it. I never used to do this myself but over the years it has crept in. I mostly do it on the little touchy, feely shots,,,don't ask me why

Well, I just played a few frames, and I played alright, making a 30 break and a few 20s and getting the shots I should, and guess what? I didn't tap my middle finger. So I suppose it isn't needed for making difficult shots eh

Yeah, it just seems to be a little habit that some players pick up. You'll notice some do it when cueing up before they strike the cue ball and some only do it once the cue ball has been struck.
