I would love to have a full sized snooker table in my home. However I do not have the room. I would like to recreate as much the angles and pocket size of a full sized table so was thinking of a full sized table but only half of it. It would then be possible to at least practice routines around the red area of the table. Has anyone ever seen such a table?

I had the same thought once before I only needs to be just over 1/2 the length to accommodate the middle pockets in their usual alignment (on the side cushions) to allow you to pot balls 'back' toward the middle as you might sometimes have to do in and around the black spot. You'd have to play to not run into the fake bottom cushion, or rely on coming off it in any way. But, otherwise I reckon it could work."Do unto others 20% better than you would expect them to do unto you, to correct for subjective error"

And then, in fact, you could perhaps accommodate such a table with a slightly smaller room. You could have a three-quarter-length table with the 'fake' end against a wall of the room. That would still enable various practice routines but you would only need about 13-foot of room length for 9 feet of table.

I have often thought of this, and then thought I was just being stupid. I do like the idea of it going just above the centre pockets so you could still play onto the blue.
Lets face it very little play in the modern game happens at tha baulk end, so for break building practice around the black and pink is it needed...
