    Yeh well, like I said, its a matter of opinion. Thats what makes life so interesting, we all have different ideas and thoughts and it makes for interesting conversations. Alex was a wonderful player to watch, and I agree that I think he could compete -- but I still don't think he could make it against the top players today. Ronnie is also an enigma, like Alex. You would think, with his best game, he could beat anyone in the world at anytime, but he falls short so often. I would love a player to come along with Ronnie's game and Mark Williams' mentality. Would make for interesting snooker.

      In terms of playing to a consistently high level against todays top players Alex would be struggling, but make no mistake, Alex Higgins had the class to beat the likes of Ray Reardon, Steve Davis, Stephen Hendry and John Higgins, just probably not on a regular basis..
