  • Final black stays still on rail?

    Hi,

if i am playing the final black on table, my opponent hit the black hard and it jumped to the cushion rail, rolled a bit and stayed still, is it a foul? the black neither drop on the floor nor return back to the clothe.

    Hi mchpddl1

Yes mate, its a foul and frame over as 1 foul on the black ends the frame unless the resulting 7 point for the foul ties the points. If the black had rolled down the rail and dropped in, it would be a legitimate shot.
You may defeat me but I will fight you to the very end!!!!

Also, if it had returned to the playing surface (cloth), no score but no foul either.
      Up the TSF! :snooker:
