      Ok well maybe I'm having a bad day (in fact, I am!). I've made more than 5000 posts to this forum and I don't think I've offended anybody yet. But I can see that my tone above is a bit over-the-top so I'd like to apologies to you for that.

      I shall return on a better day.

          "then the referee would give the benefit of doubt to the striker". the referee flip-flopped on his decision - hence the investigation by the authorities into the matter

          sure, while hawkeye may not be used as extensively in snooker as it is in tennis - the current technology employed is not sufficient - and there can be middle ground somewhere. the fact that the snooker governing body has not tried to upgrade the technology employed nor the rules of the game is a detraction to the sport in general

            Hi what they should do when two balls are close to each other say a red and a colour it should be called a foul to avoid decisions on split hits and player loses points

              I think if the decision had to be deferred then the players should have been allowed to take decision about TV footage.
