  • Iron the table???????????

    hello all,

we use to have one of the old type heavy dowsing irons (the two pronged, heavy one)

but now we use a new one the light one with lights on (that turn off when hot enough, and is light)

but when we use this it always leaves lines down the table, so question is

does anyone know of techniques to iron the table without leaving lines down the table?

Yes - when you iron hold the iron slighty side on ( at about a 50 to 70 degree angle to the cushion and repeat this across the table) and this prevents leaving lines and leaves an immaculate table.

If the iron turns off too early, take it apart and short out the thermostat.Test by puting the iron on newspaper for 15 seconds. If it browns the paper it's too hot.
Establish how long it takes to reach the right temperature and use a timer in future.
The Dowsing I used to have took 20 mins but the one I have now takes 8,so plenty of testing needed. As said in the previous post, have the iron at an angle to stop the lines and don't have the iron too hot.You can allways run over it again but too hot damages the cloth.
