white ball scorch marks

Does anyone know how to get rid of the yellow scorch marks on a white ball, my white ball from my tournament set has a yellow mark on it which is very off putting.
I don't know how this happened but im told its a scorch mark ? anyhow i want to remove this any ideas please ?

done it, hot water followed by ball cleaner phew was annoying the hell out of me

Maybe someone will tell me it's the wrong thing to do, but I use AutoGlym's SRP to bring my set back to 'as new' condition as T-Cut would be too harsh.

No seriously I hate these marks as well so would be interested in the answer.
