    it wont be long until you start to screw it back 6 to 12 inches, then you can keep at it until you git it right.

    I agree with what you have said. Imparting/sharing knowledge and technique is one thing. Absorbing them, understanding them and putting them into practice, now that takes much dedication.

    This reminds me of a passage from a book I read recently; "The Way of the Bow" by Paulo Coelho...

    "...Teaching it isn't hard. I could do that in less than an hour... The difficult thing is to practise it every day, until you achieve the necessary precision..."

      If there is a secret to screwing back I reckon this is it. If you're lined up correctly, the pot should take care of itself, and it's so much easier to screw back if you aren't trying to pot anything.
