This subject has always been fascinating to me.
If you like to play intentional jump shots then pool would be the game for you. But having said that, I feel that intentional jump shots without fouling in snooker is even more unreal (meaning to hit a ball on and jump to create positioning or breaking the pack).
I had a snooker friend who demonstrated this particular shot to some years back. If I remember correctly, the white is low on black (between half and 3/4 ball pot), so if you played to stay between pink and black off the cushion you would need to use check-side. He potted the black and jumped the cue ball to hit the side cushion and achieve position at the scoring end of the table. And he did it consecutively!
