Practical advise for straightening warped shaft

Hello all,

Just wondering if anyone has had much first hand experience of straightening cues? I have read varying ideas on the application of heat and moisture, as well as hanging from the ceiling, but has anyone achieved consistency with a particular method? The warped area in this case is within 10-12 inches of the tip if that helps.

Any advise appreciated.

Send it to someone who knows what they're doing to fix it i.e. a cue maker/doctor.
