  • How To Store your Snooker Cue?

    Hi all,

i am just wondering what the best ways of storing your cue are when it is in its case, would it be lying it down in its case or standing it up vertically straight when in its case just wondering what you guys would do? Help is very much apreciated

I would say that, as long as it is in a case, it doesn't much matter whether it's vertical or horizontal.

But if you're storing it vertically, make sure it is not in a location where it might be prone to being knocked over.

(Also, if you're playing a game and leave the table for the toilet or whatever, lay it on the table and NOT lean it against the corner pocket – again, someone might knock it over.)

I store my cue vertically in a case with the tip side up. (It's a one piece cue)

Keep it away from heat sources like radiators and fires as this can cause warping.

          Proped up in your shower!

I have been told that it should be laid flat in your case or in a rack.
I agree that if its in a hard case it shouldn't really matter!
I'm a bit weary of racks does the sun getting at the cue not do something bad?

Use a rubber grip hanger. It will grip the cue tip firmly. There is a ring on the other side. You may hang it in your walkin closet.

Put you cue away from extreme temperature just like your nice French wine.
