  • How to apply cue oil to my new love

Hi I've never kept a cue long enough to worry about using cue oil before. I've now fallen head over heals in love with my new cue and wanted to know how to feed her from time to time. Do I drown her in it all over, rub a little into her all over or just let someone else service her as I don't know how to ?
    Regards

How to apply cue oil to my new love

Clean the cue first with a mildly damp cloth, then dry, this will fetch all the grime off and make the cue smooth to the touch, don't get your tip damp or wet!

Then get a piece of kitchen roll, raw linseed oil and sparingly apply on the cue length, this will feed the wood and bring out the natural colours, avoid the feral and tip. I'm presuming your cue is wood and not a JB sport special painted one ?

I apply once or twice a season, if your cue has an ash shaft the oil will over time darken the grain, a little like Dominic dales in this years world championship
