My Partner played the green with a real power shot the ball took off vertical into the lamp shade with such force that it dis-lodged the triangle that is clipped over the end of the shade for storage, it came crashing down onto the table I have never seen anything like it, what would be the rules on a fluke shot like this.

Two things:
Firstly, it's no foul and you would have to replace the balls that were disturbed by the triangle to their original position, to both players' satisfaction.
Secondly, you'll realise why the triangle shouldn't be left on the lampshade, although it is commonplace for clubs to provide the little bar to store it there!
