Do snooker players receive a ’salary’ as such or do they reply on winning prize money?

They rely on price money...but of course most of them also have sponsor deals and earns money when they do other things, like giving lectures or playing golf..... I read somewhere that if you want Stephen Hendry to come and play golf with you on your company get together you would have to pay like £10.000? I dunno if the sum is correct here..but I know he's the one that earns the most...

They get guaranteed prize money, the level of which depends on their rankings. IE:-Top 16 get the Minimum Prize money for the round they enter in so if they come in at the last 32 stage and get beaten they would get that amount for that tournament so if you count the Minimum prize money that the top 16 , 17 to 32 etc come into the tournaments at, that is the Minimum they can earn in a season, NOT including sponsor deals.

So only the top 32 can make a decentish living then. Must be a struggle for the rest of them.
