Last night in a league game i had something i can safely say i have never seen before on a table. there was a red between the pink spot and middle pocket, green side of the table. The white was about 2 feet away, with the red dead straight into the middle bag. The shot was to pot the red and then screw back a couple of inches to be perfect on the pinkl, with the last 5 reds spread nicely. I was about 10 behind at the time and thought i was a really good chance to win the frame. I hit the shot sweetly, with the white coming back 2/3 inches perfect on the pink. The red hit the middle pocket dead centre, and then jumped backwards and flew off the table. I didn't hit it with any real pace, just a soft screw shot. The pocket looked fine, a brand new leather and the metal rail on the back of the pocket didn't seem at all misshapen. My opponent then made 20 odd leaving me needing snookers, resulting in the team losing 3-2! As you can imagine, i was fairly peeved! I've seen a pocket throw a ball back out onto the table plenty of times after the ball seemingly being dead centre of the pocket, but never straight up in the air and backwards off the table like this, has anyone ever seen this before?
