Ronnie Foul shot?

I'm not quite sure what he did as the commetry is in German but there was a shot just then when whilst Ronnie was cuing the ref clearly said foul and then he just pot the red.

There was enough time between the call and the shot for this to not be an unavoidable consequence. Was wandering what people thought of this. If he pot the red out of frustration then what do you do?

His waistcoat touched the yellow ball whilst he was cueing over it and as the foul was called Ronnie was in his final backswing and probably was concentrating too much to think about getting up off the shot.

Once a player 'fouls', his turn ends immediately (Sec.3, 11).

Sec 3, 11(a) states: "If the striker has not made a stroke, his turn ends immediately and the referee shall state the penalty.
Sec 3, 11(b) states: If a stroke has been made, the referee will wait until the completion of the stroke before announcing the penalty.

Ronnie fouled the yellow whilst making his stroke, and Sec 3, 11(b) was applied by the referee.

If the player made a foul under Sec 3, 11(a), and thenplayed a stroke, Sec 3, 12(a)(iii) - playing out of turn, would apply and a further penalty. Also the player could lose the frame or the match under Section 4, 2, Unfair Conduct.

Its also worth noting that once the referee called a foul and so Ronnies turn ended, if his opponant wanted the balls replacing then this could be done. This prevents the scenario of a player potting a ball after a foul is called to leave the other player needing snookers

Ronie Foul

Yes. Once Ronnie had committed the foul, his turn ended and he is no longer the striker. If he had then played a stroke, it would have come under the guise of 'Ball moved by other than striker' (Sec 3, 15) and the referee would have replaced all balls to their original position, even if a red had got pocketed (one of the few situations that a pocketed red is replaced). The referee would have probably warned he player as well.
