I've been trying to think of the answer to this question for a while and the best answer I can think of is 8 (I'm talking about total by both players in the match):

1999 world semi-final Hendry (4) vs. O'Sullivan (4)
2002 world final Hendry (4) vs. Ebdon (4)
2013 world final O'Sullivan (6) vs. Hawkins (2).

Can anyone think of any match where 9 or more centuries were made by both players?

I'm a frequent user of that site, but I never realised that it has a separate page for this particular statistic. It seems to say that 8 is the record too, so I think we can go with that, but I notice it doesn't include the recent world final on that page.
