Is Tony Drago now (finally) off the Main Tour, being no 68 on the provisional list?

It was clear before the Liu Song match, that if he loses, he will be off the Main Tour.

Me neither.. Just the ones I might find interesting. But no offense or anything.. Sadly it's a fact that Tony will drop out of the 64 this year, as he is out of the China Cup as well. I'm not sure if he will continue on the PIOS, maybe he should concentrate on pool in the future.

He's Top 8 on the one-year list, of those not in the Top 64, so he is still on the main tour next year.

Yes people, Tony Drago will remain on the tour next year as he is top 8 (outside top 64) on the 1 year list which means he is 100% on the main tour next year.

Wow, I thought that rule only applies to the "rookies" on the tour...
But I'm pretty sure as well that he is in the top 8 on the one year list outside 64, as he is 60th overall right now.
              Good news, thanks

Its one of those weird things with the rankings that if her were to make the tour next year. A similar season to this one's would probably see him climb quite healthily.

He must have had a god awful year last year.

It's the top 64 that stay on they main tour next season, PLUS the top 16 on the one year ranking list that are NOT already assured of a place.

Not meaning to trivialise some so serious, but what will happen to Paul Hunter's spot that was saved for next year? Will an extra player survive or an extra come up?

                        You're absolutely right gavhay!
I was thinking of the days before the wsa seemed to love ruining lesser players careers!!!

Paul Hunter's spot was taken this year. When it became clear he couldn't play this season, his place was given to Patrick Einsle, so there are still 96 professionals.
