  • questions about buying a table and snooker cue

First I had some questions over the table. What table is the best snooker table available today? I can't figure which is the best between Riley's aristocrat tournament table and the Star snooker tables. Riley's tables have been used for years in snooker tournaments with no complaint but is there something better about these Star tables? From what I have read is that mostly everything is the same. I see that the price of the Star tables are much more pleasing to the eye.

The other questions about the table are over maintenance. I was curious as to how much care has to be done to the table? How often should the felt be replaced? How long before the bumpers should be replaced? When cleaning the cloth what should I use (cleaner and cleaning utensil). Lastly how often does either brand of table become unleveled and need to be leveled again?

My questions over the snooker cue are somewhat similiar. I first wanted to know opinions on a few brands. Are any of these brands great ones to go with: peradon, riley, parris, buffalo? Are there any other great brands that I am missing? My next question is over the tip to buy. I saw that Riley and a few other brands are using layered tips like that of American Pool (which I play a lot of). People from england do not seem to be too fond of this and continue to use either Elkmaster or blue diamond. For anyone here that does play american pool as well can you try to describe the difference in these tips and say a layered tip such as kamui?
My last question over cues is just about maintenance. I know there are videos to watch online about cue tip replacement but I was wondering if anyone here knew a great website that sold all the accessories needed to replace a tip on a snooker cue and do snooker players use anything other than a damp cloth to clean their shaft. In American pool we have solvents that only clean but make the shaft slicker. Does snooker have anything like this?

Thanks for the help and I apologize for the long passage
