as with any sport finding sponsors when you are at the bottom of the tree is difficult.

How does the sponsor benefit? What would be the return on their investment?
If you can put together a case with measurable benefits then attracting a sponsor is possible, often there are no measurable benefits only nice warm fuzzy feelings of helping a budding sportsman. I suspect this may be the caseLast edited by Stupree; 5 February 2014, 03:12 PM.

Many past and present players at Chandler's Ford Snooker Club were and are sponsored.
The most common route is asking friends and family who own small businesses. Think about your circle of acquaintances. I bet someone owns a business.
Show them your newspaper cuttings and offer to wear their logo at tournaments. Your local newspaper will be only too happy to run the story with a picture.
Most are perfectly willing to fork out a few hundred pounds.
