    That's a good website.
If you can, go back a couple of seasons and look at all the players records before the league was reduced to two divisions. Give each player a handicap of scratch and then add one point for each defeat and take away one point for each win.
Do this for the last two seasons and carry it forward to the current season. At the end of the current season you will have a handicap for each player in place for next season, and this one point for a win or defeat system can be carried on in the future.

Our league runs such a handicap system that goes as high as +50 and as low as -30 with a maximum of 50 between two players playing each other.

In our snooker league handicaps are decided by a 4 man committee and it goes on previous years and if the player is known. It also then goes on weekly results and the handicap can alternate. I personally don't like the handicap system. The start in our league ranges from -7 to 31 and if you are a first time registered player you get 31. I know players who can make 70-80 breaks who play off 31 in my league. Obviously the more they win the handicap will gradually reduce at the league monthly meetings but I would rather play off the same and beat a good player rather than have a huge start than win or lose as I have lost a couple of games to poor players who have had 31 or 28 start potted say 15 or 16 points then they put pink or black on baulk cushion making it very difficult to make any kind of break to catch up and my head has gone a few times

Appreciate giving a big start isn't easy, but like you say - it's your own fault i.e. a weakness in your own game if your head goes, not your opponents fault. If they've come up with a tactic to stop you scoring, you need to find your own tactic to counter it, that's what matchplay is all about?
Everyone moans about the odd handicap, rightly so in some cases - but as a general rule people tend to find their genuine level, if only due to the number of complaints that go into the people who set the handicaps!

i think the website is good in terms of content, however the colours, fonts, and layout used could be improved. its very difficult to read some of the content in particular the text on the buttons. the contrast doesn't work. type of fonts too, maybe its something to look into.

think of two to three colours maximum and always use light on dark and vice versa.. good luck

The grey headings on the right hand side are difficult to read IMO. Probably ok when using a desktop but when on an IPAD or smartphone they're not that clear. I think if they were similar to those on the left hand side it would look better. Not a big deal tho as the content is good.

Why dont you try a team handicap keep all results from this year then you can have a look at the total scores for each league match. This
should then give you a good idea of how teams preform against each other snd which teams need more than others. Or if you have a good idea
of players handicaps then total them up and do it that way. Handicaps are good and even it up for lesser players but on the other hand it can p#ss
The better player off as you have to change your game especially when giving huge starts.

The league I play in as been going for years and always used a handicap system it takes a good few years to get everyone off the right start but even then
some players slip through I played a young lad last night gave 45 start he got 14 was 59 behind lost on blue.
It was a close game and probably 3/4years ago when playing regular I would have beat him no problem and thats whst I am getting at it was a good win for him and he was made up but the enjoyment for me as completely gone thats why I suggest s team handicap it make it fair but the better players can still play there game.

They have the handicap in the local league setup and personally i think its a joke.Matthew Stevens plays in the same league and before he starts he has a -80.
