I have a master craft custom made one, got it from maximum break website, 2 piece, good ash with solid ebony butt, nylon ferrule, 11mm, only cost me £150 and would definitely recommend them.
I went into a chemist and asked for a deodorant, the assistant said "ball, stick or aerosol", "No, I want it for under my arms!" was my reply.

Thanks for the reply but i think you misunderstood me,I dont just want a centre split cue for snooker.
I would like a cue with the decorative design you normally associate with 9-ball cues.

I know for a fact that some U.S based cue makers , Schmelke in particular , make finished shafts for centre joint cues . They are all Maple and basically you just have to order a shaft with a conical / European taper ( snooker ) to be made with the same joint face diameter and pin size of an existing cue i.e. buy a cue and then get Schmelke to make a spare shaft for snooker , problem solved. There is also a Pro9 American cue shop in Portsmouth that might have cues and spare shafts. You could of course buy an American Pool cue in a style that you like and then ask Tony Glover or Andy Travis to make you an Ash snooker spec shaft for it. Both of the aforementioned can fabricate a joint so should have no problems marrying the two halves of your cue ( butt & shaft ) , joints are also easily bought if a joint can not be fabricated.

HI I think that Bill Werbenuik was playing with a two piece cue made by the Brunswick Company in Canada which was called a Trophy Cue made by the Brunswick Company

I knew he was expensive but...!
have you looked at his website, he has some fancy snooker cues already that may fit what you are looking for, and would probably be cheaper than $6000

yeah, but i think in the 80s he was using a gauthier. one of the threads in the forum did mention tht cliff thorburn said bill was using a gauthier.
Why not have a go at making your own ? Schmelke stocks and sells everything from butt blanks ( plain & veneered ) , shafts , joints , collars , bumpers , basically everything you would need. It would be easy to buy a joint at say 5/16" 18 tpi ( full joint , male and female ) and then buy the corresponding female socket to fit to an ash shaft that any competent cue builder could turn down to fit .Joints are about $4 + post , a plain Bocote , Rosewood type butt is about $32 and a finished shaft with collar already fitted is about $60 . I reckon you could make a serviceable cue for around $100 - $150 + post from the States . ( $125 is around £75 ) . I should state that I have no connection to Schmelke other than dealing with them in the past , I use them as an example because I am familiar with them as a company , I am sure there are others just as suitable.Hope this helps.
The old Brunswick Trophy cues were made with black/white/black joint collars. When Tom Gauthier started making cues he converted Dufferin machine splice (4 point full splice) cues to two piece, he copied the Trophy style piloted joint only he used a brown phenolic material.
When Tom started making cues from scratch he only did the two point hand splice Billy probably had one of these.
