I have done the cross line up, he to the last ball twice And missed it.
It's a good routine , however I'm determined to clear the traditional line up

Haha! That's awesome Byrom. I bet you were absolutely buzzing!

Any twitching going on when you got to the last few balls

Slightly off topic, but I'll put it in this thread anyway.

I won my first ever tournament today! My local pro-am! 36 players turned up at 9am this morning to begin play, and and at about 8:45pm this evening, I was the winner!

I'm absolutely chuffed with that. I've been playing good stuff in practice and it's good to be able to take that form to the match table. I'm pretty pleased with myself

            Hehe thanks mate. Appreciate it!

A few of the lads from the club have text me this evening as well congratulating me, which I thought was really nice.

Got my first century about 5 years ago. Took the game up the game later than most and it took me like 6 months to break past 30. Didn't get chance to play other than for a few hours on a Saturday evening but a change of job meant I could play every night if I wanted to. More hours on the table paid off and I had a highest break in the 70s before I made my ton. It was just a sparring match with a mate. He was a bit better than me at the time and he would regularly knock in 50 and 60s. Knocked in a long straight red, plum on the black, into the pack and finished with a 134. Couldn't friggin believe it. I'd wanted and had been chasing the century for so long I was almost trying too hard for it. Then as I was relaxed having a knick about with my mate moaning about our mrs it came from no where. It came probably about 2 years ish after I started taking the game seriously. I'd get nervous before when I knew a century was on the cards, id start over thinking things and eventually fall short. But once I got it I didn't care any more. I was buzzing for a good month and a half after, just playing for the fun of it and a couple more came my way in that time. Amazing what you can do when you put in the hours and enjoy playing.

I remember my first ton. Was 8 days after my 15th birthday, a break off 118.

Had a drop in dead straight blue on 99 to go up for the yellow... I remember smiling coz I knew I'd cracked it. My highest before that was 82. Left myself close to the pink for the TC and potted it but went in off in the middle trying to go around the table.

I remember taking 8 reds and 8 blacks in the very next frame as well and me and my mate were in bits coz the max was on...

Fortunate enough now where I make centuries as a consequence of simply playing...

I find those who don't make regular tons worry too much about 'what's on' and 'playing on big colours'... All I think about is where I want the white ball to stay at the table... If you don't miss balls (which is the easy part - potting) you end up with breaks... occasionally those breaks are tons.
