First century was a 120 at 16 after loads of 90+ breaks. Missed the black for 127. You dont forget your first ton!

I am over the moon, to be honest it was more relief than anything, I'm more excited now than I was at the time, when the black went in my knees gave a little buckle and I just put my head on my bridge arm for a few seconds lol, I have come so close so many times but bottled nearly every one of them.
When I first started two and a half years ago, I never ever would have thought I would get so hooked on this game, I only played so my son and I would have something to do together, now he never goes to the club and I'm in every second I can.
I know it's not a break and probably shouldn't be on this thread but I'm chuffed with myself
I would like to add ,many many thanks to all who have given me advice on here, sometimes I didn't understand it as I wasn't good enough to get it, but I tried to store it in my head and when I was ready it clicked in, it's very much appreciated.

Well done Jim, it is an achievement to clear and indicator of progress. Now do it potting the reds in order, then clear it without using a cushion :snooker:

Thanks Lads, I will try all the things mentioned, not touching a cushion sounds impossible, taking them in order is a very very slight possibility ,I couldn't say for sure how many I have done in order before but it's quite a few.
100 blacks, is that in one go! Lol, I will try it J6 but I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for me completing it.

made my first 53 when i was 14 years old, i was over the moon!!!! it felt like i just beat ROS at the crucible. as i walked home from the club i kept trying to remember the shots i played. and smiling and walking. im sure if Facebook existed i would definitely post my achievement lol.

3 years later i made my first ton, it was 113. that felt awesome, like being invited by Angelina Jolie for a nightcap.

thereafter i got pretty consistent with the tons, 30% of breaks in tournament play.

my worse ever moment, 15 reds, 15 blacks, perfect on the yellow( a foot away - dead straight). because of the adrenaline i stun the yellow by accident. and the white lands dead on the yellow spot snookering myself. what a bummer. 122 closest i got to a maxi.

did make a maxi at least 6 times in a line up... but they dont count (pity)

so far 500+ centuries and 141 as my highest. i am waiting for you maxi, you gotta arrive someday...

and great stories boys, lovely read.

Well done! Personally still stick with the routine line up but throw a few different routines in too. My personal favourite the T..line & Y...line up

Id be interested to know what things you changed during the coaching to bring your game up to a break building level? Was it a case of a few simple changes like the grip- pause - sighting etc? Im interested to know if coaching was the answer really?

I wish Mate, you are so kind! if i had a pound every time someone said that i'd be well off.

i'm finding out and maybe you are too, its not all about straight cueing, there is much more to this game.

i'll upload a recent video i did which is sort of a Christmas tree layout the top half of the table, it helps with cueball control in those tight situations. once you get the hang of this , you can make it more difficult by removing 2 reds and adding Black, Pink and Blue to the routine.
