2 places will be allowed next month in Carlow(ireland) at the future european champion and at the winner of "euro-play-off"competition reserved at players non-british isles nationals.Dene O'Kane is ineligible because is a current member of main tour(demoted) and nobody demoted froom main tour can have a place for the follow season winning a qualify contest(but can be hope in a wild card)...sorry for my poor english

just a question: Kurt MAFLIN is qualified twice...who take the second place:the runner-up of world championship or the 9° of pios rank?who decide that WSA or the player?

Personally I would like to see O'Kane get a wild card. This season he missed the first two Tour events so it was going to be almost impossible for him to make up the required ranking points to stay on the Tour.

Also I would rather see the WSA invite a non-UK player than give the invite to a PIOS member or one of the European competitions, where the player will, in all likelihood be from the UK.

I think if there are any remaining places where players have gained two qualifying places such as Kurt Maflin then the places will go to the next players on the one year list so that would mean Alfie Burden and Ben Woollaston will stay on.

Seriously though, why should Wollaston and Burden keep their places for effectively finishing 73rd and 74th in the world? Surely it would be better to bring some new blood onto the Main Tour?

Maybe because the have already earned their place on the tour, and just had a bad season to fall down, other players have yet to earn the right to play on the tour

Well I think Woollaston deserves another season as he did reach two venues, the Grand Prix and the Welsh Open. I am surprised that in reaching the two venues he didn't manage to stay on. However Alfie Burden has had a lot of years on the tour without doing much. The thing is a lot of the new blood did very poor last season and in previous seasons and therefore it is safer to let these pros continue.

According to snookerblog.de, Maflin's maintour qualification place for winning the Amateur World Championship will be given to the runner-up (Daniel Ward).
