after a foul say on the last red the cue ball angle's the next player can he take a free ball ? as its part of the table that is causing the obstruction not a ball not on

Sec 2.17 Snookered
(e) The cue-ball cannot be snookered by a cushion. If the curved face of a cushion obstructs the cue-ball and is closer to the cue-ball than any obstructing ball not on, the cue-ball is not snookered.
so it is not a snooker, so not free ball.

In the game I was snookered in my attempt to get out of the snooker I missed the red the cue ball ended up in the jaws of the green pocket .there was no ball inbetween red and White just the corner of the pocket my opponent was going to take a free ball but I thought it wasn't in the end he just made me go again
