I suspect as it was an abnormal situation plus the fact it was hazel who offered the handshake he felt more pressure to do it in the heat of the moment especially as he was aware the cameras were right on him.

Personally I have no issue with Rory's behaviour, it seems that he and the female referees have an agreement and no one is being belittled here. Tbh this whole thread seems like a blatant way to demonise a perfectly nice man based on his religious beliefs. The irony here of accusing another of discriminatory behaviour while doing this is rather perplexing.

Good because that would be discriminatory behaviour
It's hard to pot balls with a Chimpanzee tea party going on in your head

There are off topic sections lol though i do agree it's a snooker forum to talk snooker. But also don't mind the off topic stuff. I just don't click on then lol.

I rarely click on anything that isn't to do with cues and cases lol. And only really the big tournament threads I'll read through

No it did happen, but she did thrust her hand forward very quickly after he shook hands with (whoever was there lol) so probably caught him off guard

I would love the chance to shake hands with Hazel think she is great ! cant help thinking this attitude towards Women a little mis-guided. How refreshing to see Noppon Saengkham give a bow of respect to the crowd at the end of his session ( Thats what our game is all about)

a limp handshake would offend more than no handshake. why would anyone choose to offer a cold, dead lifeless hand?

I believe the fashionable response is: +1

                      Personally I prefer 'Ditto'.

There's a few in our league who do this, no idea why they bother as well

This is not discrimination which in the uk is dealt with under the equality act 2010. There has to be a reason associated to the discriminatory act, e.g. Not employing someone due to age (which as with sex is a protected characteristic) because they may be more likely to be ill. There is no such underlying reason here.
