Brushing the table

Just wondering if there are any recommendations regarding brushing/ironing a table.

Any input will be much appreciated, thank you.

My WOE cloth has grey spots which I cannot remove with brushing. Even when scratching carefully with finger nail they do not go away. These spots are round and about 3 mm big. I don't know what creates these spots - well, the balls of course - and I would be glad if I could get an advice how to remove them. Using water is not a good advice, isn't it? There is also a track alongside the cushion which is harder and harder to remove.
