Could any one let me know how high the lights need to be from the table. Is there any set distance ? Cheers

I'm not sure of the exact distance but being low enough so players bang their head if the're not thinking when they get up from a shot is a prerequisite!

I think its variable. Whatever works best and easiest and looks best in any particular set up. Home set ups may be different to club set ups, and tounament set ups would be different again.

As Mr R says as long as they are above the height of people banging their head on them (say at least 3 feet above the table) you should be ok. I think the likes of Rileys Snooker Clubs have them about 4 feet above the tables.
