      I hope he is a good coach. Being the greatest player in the world doesn't necessarily make him the greatest snooker teacher though. I've seen many coaches who couldn't make a decent 50-60 break let alone win tournaments and who were really good at what they were doing: coaching. I thing I read something somewhere about Hendry being a bit sad because the junior doesn't like him to interfere and doesn't ask for either advice or help.

        Here I'm agree with you it's more difficult to prove your talent when your parents are the best in the same profession like you . Always have a danger to stay in their shadow .

          yeah it' s like Eddy Merckx who told his son Axel very seriously that if he wanted to win the Tour de France he would have to climb faster on the big mountains. How original coaching.

            Blaine was at the Ronnie-Stephen semi final (with Stephen's Dad) last night (;

              Yes and Clive Everton mentioned he's a keen Snooker player but unfortunately failed to mention anymore than just that. Sometimes Clive would normally inform the viewer with more information but on this occasion it wasn't to be.

                Snooker is in the Hendry blood line as Dennis Taylor said that hendrys grandfather who died at 44 was a top player in Scotland but there was no professional game up there at the time.

                  It's typical the one time Blaine turns up, Stephen doesn't get through to the next round. Oh well, there's always next tournament.
                  Normally the commentators won't shut up if a player's family is in the crowd but this time.....

                    It has become typical even if he (Blaine) doesn't turn up.

                    And what has happened this time?

                      The commentators only briefly mentioned him, when we all wanted more information. It was quite frustrating really.

                        i wouldnt have imagined that they know much more than he plays regularly and has entered some competitions.....i dont think his improvement is that rapid that each tournament they update any progress

                          As a matter of fact, I'm huge Hendry fan. But alas, last years Stephen looses his matches whether Blaine is watching him or no.

                          Maybe, they don't know very much about him?
