Imo he never insulted any of the players he mentioned in his book, tho , apparently many think he did.
I've read the book more than once, i liked the straight and honest way he talked about both ,the good and the bad parts of his life.

To answer your question...as far as i know the book was first published in UK in 2003. So, my guess, ...it was written sometime in 2001(after the Worlds) - 2002 ( so he was 26-27 years old).

Thanks Ellena. I didn't think he would insult anyone, it's just I heard a rumour that he did.

as i recall he was not too complimentary about either mark williams or especially stephen lee but really in truth he is entitled to his opinions.

                    Blimey. Old thread.

I'm reading Ken Doherty's book at the moment, but not really enjoying it.

Great book so interesting! And surprising how dedicated to the game he really is! I mean he says he probably practises as much as anyone out there

Bought and read the book, very interesting read. Now I understand better why Ronnie do the things he do on and off the baize. And I've always thought it was quite an insult to call Ronnie a talent when he has put in so much hard work that is not seen by many.

I read Ken's book a while back and I thought it was quite good? What one is it you're reading, Life in the frame? Have you read Graeme Dott's one, I've just finished that, I quite enjoyed that one :snooker:
