How Tall Is Marco Fu?

Strange question I know......but.....I was watching him play (and beat) John Higgins last night and noticed that he held his cue about 5 or 6in from the bottom of the butt and his cue is 57.5in long so I just wondered approx. how tall he was? Anyone out there know?

judging by my own height v his, the times ive been speaking to him, id say hes no taller than 5'10", and no smaller than 5'7"......

Oh well, thanks. In that case its no wonder he holds the cue where he does most of the time!!

Wish I could play like Marco....he's just like a robot, shows very little emotion and has a very short backswing so not a lot can go wrong with it.

Did you notice the 'Butterfly Splicing' on his cue? Looks strange I think after seeing normal splicings on just about every other pros cues. He uses a Canadian Kevin DeRoo cue.

ya.. he shows very little emotion and has a very short backswing so not a lot can go wrong with it and i notice when he aiming he does'nt applying so much feathering, 1 time to 2 time feathering only, he has a fine cue action

umm.. lets talk about joe swail cue action, i found that his cue action more different to other players, really cool and i heard his cue only 9 to 15 pounds

i've had the pleasure of meeting marco a few times. and playing a few practise frames once in hong kong.

now being a shortarse myself (5'7" in high heels, fishnets, you get the picture), everyone seems tall to me.

but i remember him seeming fairly tall. so maybe he is getting toward the 6' mark.

or maybe not. maybe i dreamt it all....

Yes, Kevin Deroo's cues has a one piece butt (no sperate pieces of ebony spliced onto the shaft)much like the American hand spliced cues.
Kevin Deroo also has a CNC. His cues use a stainless steel piloted joint, rather than a brass joint, as commonly found among UK cue makers.
