  • 147 breaks

    Hi there.

My question is - has there ever been more than one 147 in a major tournament - by major, i mean a ranking event?

I am inclined to think not, but being a stat-fan would like this confirmed.

    Many thanks.

Many thanks for this excellent compilation - No. 30 holds special memories for me - i was there! Hendry against Ebdon, it was the first time a 147 had been made in a Ranking Event final - very special. The hairs were standing up on the back of my neck.

Any other great stats like this are right up my street!

        Regal scottish open 2000

If my memory is correct there were 2 147s in this event

Stephen Maguire in non televised section

        Ronnie in the televised section

umm - i was at most of the games in the 2000 regal - and saw both those maximums - there were cameras at both i think, might have been on sky television i don't remember - the final was a proper thrashing ronnie murdered mark williams 9 - 1 which was amazing as he should have gone out to dave harold a couple of rounds earlier.

Maguire is in top 16, he won't even be in pre-tv

Also this years Royal London Watches Grand Prix, Jamie Burnett made one pre-tv and Tom Ford made one at televised stage, anyone knows any other tournment has more then 1 147s from both pre-tv and tv stage?

yes, i guess just because cameras are there does not mean it is televised?

I think pre-tv here is qualification!

i don't think so because it was in the same hall and the same set up as the final.
qualification does not usually happen at the event?

                            pre-tv

Trust me, there are rounds at the final venue that are not televised!

while some match is not televised, it still considered "televised stage", which means if a player made a 147 which was not televised, he would still get full price money. eg Tom Ford, instead of the cheap pre-tv price money
