  • Going rate for exhibitions

    Good afternoon folks!

Does anyone have any rough ideas as to the fees one could expect to pay to have a top snooker player appearance?

Our league celebrates its centenary next season and we are looking at some sort of special event.

Maybe someone has done this before? Perhaps you have a rough idea of, say a current top name (O'Sullivan, Selby, Doherty etc.) or a past player such as Dennis Taylor or Virgo or Griffiths.

Start at about £1000 depending on where and who you go through.

I had a recent quote for £3500 from Steve Davis

However a very good night can be had for £200 from the current UK 8 ball trick shot champion

      Which I can recommend

£3,500 for Davis, I think Ronnie charges about the same, in fact I thought he was about £3,000. I think most top 16 players will cost upwards of £1,500 to about £3,000. TBH, it just isn't worth it IMO. You will also have to arrange a professional table as most players won't want to play on standard club tables, many will refuse.

yip, going through proper channels it would cost that

£1000 is bare minimum ive heard of for a "top" player....

contact a couple of the main managers/teams for a quote would be muc more accurate.

id imagine top 8 wont be less than £2000

Hi Stat, why don't you sound out JV via his site?

There should be a link on Ronnie O'Sullivan's website........... or take the ultimate risk: Alex Higgins!! I'm sure his agent's phone number is on Alex's site from which to arrange an exhibition.

At the end of the day, you don't need a contemporary, pricey HUGE name a la msrs Davis et O'Sullivan, but a good well-known famous name; a Griffiths, Virgo, Taylor (or Hurricane Higgy) would be good value, and great for anecdotes and memories.
