From this photo he looks a couple of inches shorter than Ebdon. Since Ebdon is either 6'0 or 6'1" then that would put Muprhy at about 5'10 or 5'11". I personally think Ebdon is closer to 6'1 so that would put Murphy about 5'11.

I have met most of the players that you talk about.

The TV distorts the height of the players, in width and Height, Steve Davis is a lot thinner in the flesh than he looks on TV.

If You go to Prestatyn then you can see the players when they enter the qualifying arena and when they exit.

And I measured my self against them and the results were very surprising.

I'm just under 6FT bare foot, and about 6Ft and half an inch with shoes on.

And when I measured myself against the player on the same level.

John Parrott about the same

Steve Davis very slightly taller but only half an inch

Ricky Walden Very Slightly taller but not greatly no way is he more than 6Ft 1-2

Shaun Murphy couple of inches smaller

Peter Ebdon about the same possibly a tiny bit smaller.

Jan Verhass is 6Ft 4

Ronnie about the same possibly a little smaller than me.

Mark Selby no difference between us.

Hendry noticibly smaller than me by a couple of inches. (very surprising as I was expecting him to be the same as me.)

Alex Higgins very much smaller

Ken Doherty quite small 5ft 8 I would say.

Joe Perry noticibly smaller.

Neil Robertson same height.
